Some grief is too specific for ordinary conversation. Tell us one moment, detail, or unfinished sentence you do not want forgotten.

What happens after I submit?
A person reviews every story. We may lightly correct spelling or clarity while preserving your meaning and voice. We never invent emotional details, and nothing is published automatically.
What should I leave out?
Avoid graphic descriptions, identifying allegations, and private information about minors. Do not include full names, addresses, schools, workplaces, contact details, or other information that could expose someone.
This form is not a crisis service. In the United States, call or text 988 for immediate emotional support. If there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
How do privacy and withdrawal work?
Your story is anonymous publicly, but it is not fully confidential because an editor can read your submission. We collect no name or email through this form.
You receive a private reference and withdrawal code after submitting. Use them on the withdrawal page to remove a pending story or request removal of a published use.
Jewel Lay created this space because remembrance does not always fit into a product, ceremony, or conversation.
